New Friends made with a Camera

Our own image treads on the line of sacred and public. Our faces become known to strangers and friends alike. But where does the fear of capturing that image stem from? A lack of trust? Trust that has been broken previously by a falsely represented image of oneself? These wonderings were pleasantly found to be proven empowering with a chance meeting of two women. An image can be empowering if we let our guard down and be ourselves. These women were strangers but became friends through an afternoon of photographing.

I hope you enjoy these images as much as I enjoyed capturing them. Next time you have the opportunity to let your image be captured, perhaps let it happen, naturally.
