What I will remember most about this hike, was when we followed a small trail into the forest surrounding the meadow and we stopped for a moment in silence. Then out of the depths of the trees, stepped a herd of deer. My cousin, Nova had never seen a deer in person and she gasped in delight. She couldn’t take her eyes off the graceful movements of the herd. In the silence of Nature, there was more communicated than we had spoken all day. I am eternally grateful for moments like these and so happy to share them with family.
